We’re a different kind of florist, so we’re sure you have some questions.

Q: Do you have a minimum purchase?

Yes, a minimum investment of $650 is required for each package order, but it can consist of whatever floral products you want within any floral collection or flower “add-ons”. For instance, you could select 1 bridal bouquet, 1 bridesmaid bouquet, 2 corsages, 3 boutonnieres and 10 centerpieces, and 4 bunches of greens from the Blush Garden Collection. However you reach that total depends upon what you put in your wishlist. Taxes and delivery charges are additional and do not apply towards your minimum investment.

We have to require a minimum purchase amount to ensure we can order enough great fresh flowers from our suppliers, which we know you only want the best flowers at the best price ;-)

Q: Why do I have to submit a wishlist instead of being able to just check out my cart?

First and foremost, you are buying a service as well as a product with Best Buds Flower Co. Remember that you don’t have to do any of the DIY that you have to do at other local florists in order to save money. Our design services sell out on popular wedding weekends (especially in May, June, September and October) so we want to make sure our design team is available to serve you. That is why it is best to submit your wishlist ASAP.

Q: Do I have to pay a deposit?

Once you view your proposal, a retainer payment of 25% is to secure your date and order. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your event date. Please note that no payments are required to submit your wishlist.

Q: What forms of payment do you take?

We accept check, cash and all major credit cards.

Q: What if I need a little extra handholding and want to schedule an in-person or Zoom consultation?

We’re happy to help you however we can, and communication is a big part of weddings. Basic phone calls and emails are always free. If you want a little extra peace of mind, you can schedule a 1-Hour Consultation for $45 at our 24 S. Main St., Bellbrook, Ohio office or via Zoom.

Q: How far in advance should we place our order?

A great rule of thumb is as early as possible, especially if your wedding is in the popular months of May - October. This will help ensure we have designers and delivery people available on your date.

Once you have your venue booked, wedding party decided and a rough idea of guest count, you’ll be more than ready to place your flower order even if you order on the conservative side and add-on more quantities later, at least you’ll know that you’re on our calendar!

The latest you can place an order (subject to availability) is 6 weeks before the event date.

Q: Can I make changes to my order once I have placed it?

Once your contract is signed, you have up until 30 days prior to the event date to make changes and additions. No refunds. We are able to add items to your order up until your final payment due 28 days before your event. If you feel your wedding party or table counts may change, we recommend ordering on the conservative side and adding items closer to your wedding date.

Q: Can I select items from different collections?

The answer to that is a resounding yes and no lol ;-)

No: You can not mix and match individual items from different collections For example, you can’t do 1 Classic Lavender Bridal Bouquet, 3 White Hydrangea Bridesmaid Bouquets, and 10 Modern Rose Centerpieces. Items can only be selected from one collection + our “add-on” options.

However…

Yes: You can order our minimum of $650 from as many collections as you like. A good example is getting all your personal flowers in Blush Classic Collection, but wanting all your centerpieces to be from the White Hydrangea Collection. We have to do it this way to ensure we get the right flower order quantities from our growers.

Q: Can I get my flowers delivered?

Yes - local delivery is available to Dayton and Cincinnati and the delivery fee is based on location. We also offer free pickup from our studio at 24 S. Main, Bellbrook, Ohio the morning of your wedding. We do not offer room-flip services or pickups.

Q: Do you guarantee that your flower collections have the exact same flowers and colors?

The great part of working with Best Buds Flower Co is that we’ve designed our collections with flowers that are generally available all year long. While seasonal variations may occur, you can rest assured we’ll still create beautifully designed arrangements with your desired color palette and design style. We do reserve the right to make substitutions, but they are always the next-best option in texture, bloom variety or similar color.

Q: Do you offer flower packages for events other than weddings?

Yes! Your flower besties do all sorts of events from galas and corporate events to retirement and anniversary parties. We have a wide variety of popular event themes and seasonal favorites, including holiday parties. You can see these offerings on our Events page. The same $650 minimum investment applies. Q: I see that you offer some DIY flower bunches and greenery. What makes yours different from other wholesalers?

Just another reason why we’re truly your Flower Besties…our flower bunches and greenery come to you PROCESSED. Other online wholesalers or big box warehouse stores give them to you boxed and unprocessed leaving days of messy prep work for you to get the pretty opened flowers that you see on our website.

What does flower processing involve? We start processing flowers on Tuesday/Wednesday for a Saturday pickup. We cut every stem and hydrate for hours before taking off wrappers to prevent molding, cleaning off leaves and damaged petals, and de-thorn roses. Stems are then recut a second time and we’re back to hydrating again. To do all this we have special hydration treatments, cutting tools, and giant coolers…all the supplies and time that you don’t want to mess with.

Even our greenery garlands come pre-assembled sold by the foot because greenery can look easy, but it’s messy and time consuming. So if you do want to do some DIY, we’ve made it as easy and hassle-free as possible. You won’t get that anywhere else!

Q: Do you offer custom floral designs?

If you’re looking for something that isn’t included in our Collections just ask! Depending on what you’re looking for we may be able to accommodate special requests. If you are looking for fully customizable floral options or more elaborate designs, our sister company, Floral V Designs, may be a great fit! Floral V Designs’ custom clients typically invest $6,000 or more on their wedding and special event flowers.
